The Guard Pro employs a toolless, fastener-free snap-fit interface that is easy to install & removal yet still secure under use. The guard provides maximum protection for critical controls including the volume, antenna, power dials, and SOS buttons as well as the PTT button and side keys. It shields these vital components from accidental activation and physical damage during intense use, ensuring the radio performs flawlessly in the field. Whether you’re operating in extreme conditions or wearing thick gloves, the Guard Pro maintains ample clearance for easy manipulation, delivering full functionality without compromising accessibility.  The Guard Pro is also equipped with a sliding window that protects the screen from accidental damage, while also limiting light emissions during nighttime use, making it ideal for operations under night vision. Through-holes in the dial protection wings are sized to allow for common cordage options for “dummy-cording” to your person and/or hanging the radio. Compatible with common MIL-SPEC Paracord, Shock Cord, Positive-Locking Cord, etc as well as zip ties, cable ties, metal cable, large key-rings, etc.  The guard is manufactured from an enhanced polyethylene terephthalate glycol alloy (PET-G) polymer comparable to pressurized consumer beverage bottles and is highly durable, flexible, and impact resistant while being weatherproof. Guards are media blasted, primed, painted in matte black, and flat matte clear coated. Every guard is hand finished so there may be mild variances in cosmetic finish with zero compromise on function. Guard Lite vs Guard PRO Differences Synopsis The primary distinction between the Guard Lite and the Guard PRO is the coverage of the radio’s screen. The Guard PRO has larger coverage of the radio’s front face and a screen cover window with a sliding “blackout” door. The door is intended to both protect the screen as well as dampen 99% of the screen’s extremely bright backlight for dramatically decreased detection from NOD equipped adversaries.
