Agave x leopoldii 'Painted Nails' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our sport of Agave 'Hammer Time'. Agave 'Painted Nails' is more compact in size by 20% and the pencil-thin leaves emerge solid green and age to a narrow yellow edge, compared to the ivory edge of its parent. The rosette is also covered in more white hair than the floor of my barber shop. Agave x leopoldii does not sucker, but the rosette will branch with age. Each rosette of Agave 'Painted Nails' matures at 1' tall x 16" wide.
