Gold filled materials contain significantly higher amounts of gold than plated or vermeil and are considered hypoallergenic. Those with sensitivities to other materials such as brass, silver, gold plate or vermeil can usually wear gold filled without fear of irritation. The materials used are naturally occurring or handmade and can differ slightly from one to another.
