Afnan 9PM

9pm is one of the most talked-about releases from Afnan Perfumes, the Dubai-based house known for high-performance fragrances at accessible prices. Launched in 2020 and created by Afnan's in-house perfumery team, 9pm is an oriental vanilla Eau de Parfum that has built a genuine cult following across fragrance communities worldwide. The opening delivers an immediately addictive burst of apple, cinnamon, wild lavender, and bergamot — a sweet, spicy-fruity introduction with just enough aromatic lift to keep it from going gourmand too quickly. As it settles, orange blossom and lily-of-the-valley emerge in the heart, adding a soft floral sweetness that tempers the spice and gives 9pm an unexpectedly smooth, rounded character rather than a sharp synthetic edge. The base brings vanilla, tonka bean, amber, and patchouli — a warm, creamy, slightly powdery dry-down that stays close to skin in the later hours. Most wearers report 8 to 10 hours on skin with strong projection for the first 2 to 3 hours, though batch variation has been noted in community reviews. On fabric, longevity extends well beyond 12 hours. Community comparisons land most frequently on Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male — 9pm shares the same sweet, fruity-vanilla DNA but swaps pear for apple and skips the mint, creating a slightly warmer, less aquatic take on the profile. 9pm delivers strong projection, multi-hour longevity, and a crowd-pleasing scent profile at a price that's hard to argue with — making it a near-perfect entry point for anyone curious about Middle Eastern fragrance houses or looking for a high-value evening scent with genuine performance.
