Afghan Cashgora Wool Scarf

Hand spun and hand woven feather light cashgora wool scarf from a women's cooperative in the Pamir Mountain region of northern Afghanistan. Beautifully soft and classic. Our Afghan Scarf is made by Uzbek women from the Pamir Mountain region of northern Afghanistan, a country most US citizens relate to principally through the fog of war. Cashgora is a fine wool derived from the crossbreeding of Cashmere and Angora goats which produces a fiber that is more durable and less prone to pilling. The spinning work used to be done in groups in local workshops, but that has changed since the Taliban takeover. Size 29 in. W. x 76 in. L
