Affinity Kit

The Affinity Hat by Woolfolk uses Far and Tage held together to create a warm and stylish fur trapper hat - perfect for a cold day in the city or a hike in the woods.    SIZES 1 (2, 3) FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 18 (21, 24)” / 45.5 (53.5, 61) cm circumference 11 (11.75, 12)” / 28 (30, 30.5) cm tall Sample shown in size 2 and 3 GAUGE 16 stitches and 20 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Brioche pattern on smaller needles, blocked NOTES The trapper hat is worked in Brioche in the round, beginning at the top with a circular cast on, alternating yarns each round. The ear flaps are worked separately. Finally, an applied i-cord is added around the edge of the hat, complete with optional i-cord ties on the ear flaps. This provides versatile wearability and multiple ways to style it. Intended to fit with some positive ease. Tip: Using combination knitting (wrapping purl sts the opposite way) is helpful to maintain gauge when moving from working in the round to flat.
