Only Duraflex pet door use our innovative rare earth, point magnet sealing system. Strong point magnets are spaced along the entire periphery of the flap behind a soft neoprene ribbon seal. Mating magnets are placed in floating seals within the door frame to perfectly mate with the flap. The mating magnets are placed behind industrial felt. This unique, rubber to felt, seal provides a strong, smooth and quiet closure while providing a 100% air tight seal that withstands winds up to 50 mph while still being easily opened by your pet. How is this possible? Wind blowing against the flap must work against all magnets to open it requiring a great deal of force.
