LG Refrigerator Ice Maker (AEQ73110217)

The LG Refrigerator Ice Maker is the self-contained assembly that produces, harvests, and stores ice inside your refrigerator's freezer section. It uses a built-in thermostat, heating element, and ejector arm to freeze water in the mold, then release finished ice cubes into the storage bin below. This complete kit includes the components needed to restore full ice-making function to your LG refrigerator. The LG Refrigerator Ice Maker can fail due to mineral buildup from hard water, a worn-out ejector motor, a faulty thermostat, or damage from freezing over after a water inlet issue. Normal wear over time can also cause the heating element or sensors to stop working correctly, preventing the unit from completing its harvest cycle reliably. Look for these symptoms to help determine if the ice maker assembly needs to be replaced: - Refrigerator stops making ice entirely - Ice maker produces very little ice or output has slowed significantly - Ice cubes are misshapen, undersized, or clumped together - Ice maker is frozen over or has visible frost buildup around the mold - Ejector arm is stuck, broken, or not cycling through harvest - Unusual clicking, humming, or grinding sounds coming from the freezer - Water leaks into the ice bin or onto the freezer floor near the unit
