Introducing the Aeonium chanel, which is a stunning Aeonium succulent that captivates with its vibrant rosettes and unique variegation. This Aeonium species is known for its decorative appeal and easy maintenance. With its striking colors and geometric form, Aeonium chanel adds an eye-catching element to any garden or indoor plant collection. Native to the Canary Islands, the Aeonium chanel is known for its large rosettes, which can grow up to 12 inches tall and 2 feet wide. Aeonium 'Chanel' is a succulent subshrub with short branches and variegated leaves. The leaves are spoon-shaped, pointed, and have cilia along the margins. They change color from green in winter to deep burgundy in summer. Aeonium Chanel leaves have a distinctive and eye-catching appearance because they are usually green with a hint of red around the edges. The flowers of Aeonium chanel bloom during the late winter to early spring, with the clusters of small, star-shaped blooms that range from white to pale yellow. When it does flower, the plant produces a tall inflorescence with clusters of small, delicate flowers that add a touch of elegance to its appearance.  When it comes to care, the Aeonium chanel requires bright, indirect light for at least 4-6 hours daily. The Aeonium plant prefers well-drained specailized succulent soil, to prevent root rot. Watering should be done sparingly; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to mimic its natural arid conditions. Indoors, Aeonium chanel prefers temperatures between 65-75°F, while it can tolerate a wider range of temperatures outdoors in USDA zones 10-11. Protect your Aeonium plant from frost, as it is not frost-tolerant.  The Aeonium chanel can be propagated through stem cuttings. Select a healthy stem and allow it to callus over for a few days before planting it in well-draining soil. Keep the soil slightly moist until roots develop, then transition to the typical watering schedule. This method ensures a high success rate and allows you to expand your collection or share this beautiful plant with others.  Overall, the Aeonium chanel is a striking succulent that brings a splash of color and architectural beauty to any garden or indoor space. Its easy-care requirements and stunning appearance make it a popular choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. By providing the right conditions and proper care, you can enjoy the vibrant rosettes and occasional blooms of Aeonium chanel for years to come, adding a touch of exotic charm to your plant collection.
