Adoration Guide for Parents

Parents have a special duty to carry their children in prayer, and a powerful place to offer these prayers is before the Blessed Sacrament in Eucharistic Adoration. Above all else, Christ just wants you there, to love you and spend time with you. However, if you are unsure what you should “do” in adoration, or feel blank as you attempt to pray for your children and family, the Adoration Guide for Parents was created for you. Adoration Guide for Parents is a beautiful hard-bound, cloth-covered book which will serve as a powerful companion for any parent in Eucharistic Adoration. Printed as a 4”x6” book, the Adoration Guide for Parents will easily fit in any purse or bag you take to your Adoration hour.  Adoration Guide for Parents is divided into practical sections. In the first section, we offer words of encouragement and advice as you approach Eucharistic Adoration. Nancy shares her own experiences, and we offer thoughts on prayer and how to get the most out of an hour with Jesus. We also offer ideas for taking the kids with you to Eucharistic Adoration. Finally, we offer an example “schedule” for an hour with Jesus, although we encourage you to remain open to the movements of the Spirit. The next few sections in Adoration Guide for Parents focus on specific prayers. Inside you will find a detailed explanation of Lectio Divina, the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and various litanies. We have also included the words of these prayers, the Mysteries of the Rosary, and ideas for taking each of these devotions to a deeper level. The next section of the book offers prayers for specific people, such as a spouse, child, parent, and friend. You will also find prayers for healing, and several beautiful prayers written by saints to be said in Eucharistic Adoration. Finally, we’ve included powerful words from the saints about the Eucharist, to help inspire you to worship.  Adoration Guide for Parents is a powerful tool for any Catholic parent. Whether your children are grown and out of the house, or you just welcomed your first baby, Adoration Guide for Parents will help you pray as a parent is called to do.
