We offer a super strong, high clearance engine crossmember that allows for adjustability to get everything in the perfect spot! There are three install positions (Centered and forward/rearward 1") to allow fitment to your application. What makes the Adjustable Squarebody Engine Crossmember the best crossmember on the market? Most engine crossmembers for the Squarebody offer no adjustability leaving people limited in setting their truck up perfect. That is why we came out with our adjustable one. With our crossmember you can get the most up-travel while working with many different oil pan types and steering/suspension mods! If adjustability wasn't enough, it is also the strongest crossmember available on the market! All 1/4" steel plate construction. With no parts under the frame, this offers the most clearance for the front differential to maximize suspension travel. Don't limit your build, start with the best! How easy is it to install the Adjustable Squarebody Engine Crossmember? Very easy. Remove the stock engine crossmember, this involves removing the rivets that hold them in place. You can cut/grind them or drill through the rivets. Drill out existing holes to 1/2". Attach the small bracket into the 45 degree motor mount pad, there will be two holes on our bracket that match up to two holes in the front of the motor mount pad. There are two more bolts (one in the bottom of the frame and one in the side) that attach this bracket to the frame. Leave all bolts loose, repeat for the other side of the frame. The crossmember bolts between the two brackets you just installed using supplied 1/2" bolts. There is adjustability front/back, use what looks like it will work best for your application (you can always change/move it later). Leave bolts loose. There is one long 3/8" bolt that goes through the motor mount, through the 45 degree pad on the frame and finally through our bracket (the long slotted hole). Torque 3/8" bolts to 25 ft. lbs. Torque 7/16" bolts to 38 ft. lbs. Torque 1/2" bolts to 60 ft. lbs. Note: Can be used for 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive conversions.
