When wiring, use included cardboard insulator to cover socket terminals. Cover socket and insulator with candle sleeve. Use with standard, Edison bulbs. Base is tapped 1/8 IP to fit standard 3/8" lamp pipe.  To install candle-sleeve: unscrew turn-knob from socket. Slip sleeve over socket with cardboard insulator. Measure turn-post location, remove sleeve, drill hole at measured location. Slide sleeve back onto socket with cardboard insulator. Adjust sleeve for turn-post to protrude thru candle cover, screw turn-knob back on to post. Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps: Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source. Turning lamp off will not protect you from electric shock.
