Adding and Subtracting Seven

Skipping Your Way Through Addition and Subtraction Adding and subtracting seven is just skip counting by seven. This workbook makes it easy by providing guidance from the telephone sequence. The martian telephone is almost the same as an earthlings phone except, the keys are rotated and the zero comes right before the three. This is a memory aid that helps the student skip count in sevens. It is the same tool we used for skip counting in threes, except we use it backwards since 7 + 3 = 10. With the aid of the martian telephone and the tens’ place indicator lights (which tell you which row on the keypad you are on) the student adds or subtracts seven by skip counting in sevens. Media Type (PDF Download or Digital only) Available in printable or digital format. The printable format is ideal for color printers and completion by hand. The digital format allows you to copy a digital worksheet to your Google drive and assign it in Google Classroom for completion on a laptop or tablet. The digital version also includes a PowerPoint file. Coil Binding (Print only) This workbook uses coil binding and can open flat on a desk or table and offer 360 degree rotation for easy work.    Supplement For: Martian Mathematics, Level 1
