Adapt Hook Pivot/Security Kit

This kit modifies the installation of a pair of Adapt Hooks for the following reasons: PIVOT: Allows Adapt Hooks to be pivoted to a wide range of angles. Other tiers on the stand can remain at their normal angle.  Steeper: Adapt Hooks can be pivoted to a steeper angle relative to the edge of the stand where they are mounted. On tiers that include a rubber foot “uphill” from the Adapt Hook (AM1, AM2 lower tier, AM3 lower and middle tiers, AL1, AL2 both tiers) the gear will no longer make contact with the rubber foot. Shallower: Adapt Hooks can be pivoted to a shallower angle relative to the edge of the stand where they are mounted. When Adapt Hooks have been pivoted to a shallower angle, the gear weight limit per set of Adapt Hooks is 10 lb (4.5 kg). SPACING: Allows Adapt Hooks to be positioned a little inward or outward from their normal mounting location.  The total hook position change will be 0.44" (11 mm) measured across both Adapt Hooks. Inward: At each screw location, place a spacer between the stand's inside panel and the Adapt Hook.  This allows a stand to carry a slightly narrower-than-normal piece of gear.   Outward: At each screw location, place a spacer between the stand's outside panel and the Adapt Hook.  This allows a stand to carry a slightly wider-than-normal piece of gear. SECURITY: Replace the Post Bracket and Retainer with metal machine screws and nuts when you: Place heavy gear on Adapt Hooks that are hyper-extended from their normal position. Are nervous about extremely valuable gear on your stand. We aren't nervous about this because we've extensively tested the Adapt System and we trust it to hold our own gear. But we understand that some people prefer threaded metal fasteners in some situations.   Items included (for use with 2 Adapt Hooks) (4) steel machine screws (4) thumb nuts (2) Adapt Spacer, Small (only needed for pivoting) (2) Adapt Spacer, Large (spare parts for use in Adapt Mechno stand) See this video for installation of the AHPSK.  See our Adapt System page for more details about this patent-pending design.
