The Acne Healing Routine | Complete Skincare Set for Sensitive Skin

You've tried adding products one at a time. Here's what happens when the entire routine was designed as a system, from the very first step to the last. There's a reason one good product doesn't fix sensitive, acne-prone skin on its own. It's not that the product failed. It's that skincare doesn't work in isolation. Hydration that isn't sealed in evaporates. A treatment applied to a compromised barrier causes irritation instead of healing. A moisturizer layered over unprepped skin sits on the surface instead of absorbing. Every step either sets up the next one, or undermines it. The Acne Healing Routine was designed from that principle. These four products don't just coexist. Each one creates the conditions the next one needs to work. What's inside, and why the sequence matters Step 1: Moisture Replenishing Essence (100ml, $69) Applied to damp skin right after cleansing, the Essence delivers multi-weight hyaluronic acid before the skin's surface has a chance to tighten. This primes your skin to receive, rather than reject, everything that follows. For skin using prescription actives or retinoids, it also cushions the barrier at its most vulnerable moment. Step 2: Essential Hydration Serum (30ml, $79) Where the Essence hydrates broadly, the Serum targets depth. A peptide complex (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5) supports barrier resilience at the cellular level, while fermented mushroom extracts help skin adapt to stress rather than react to it. Skin that's properly hydrated at this stage tolerates treatment better, and heals faster. Step 3: Clarifying Glow Serum (30ml, $89) I formulated this as the acne step that doesn't punish your skin to do its job. Sodium Gluconolactate gently supports cell renewal without the irritation of traditional exfoliants. Niacinamide (5%) calms inflammation and fades post-breakout marks. Alpha Arbutin works quietly in the background on skin tone. All of this on a barrier that's already been supported by Steps 1 and 2. That's exactly when these ingredients can do their best work. Step 4: Radiant Perfecting Cream (30ml, $89) The protective finish that makes the first three steps last. Linoleic-rich Babassu and Kukui Seed Oils seal hydration and reinforce the barrier: not by forming a heavy occlusive coat, but by replenishing the specific lipids acne-prone skin is known to be deficient in. Alpha-Arbutin and Ethyl Ascorbic Acid quietly continue working on skin tone as you sleep. Why full-size matters for this kind of skin Sensitive, acne-prone skin reacts badly to constant change. Every time you introduce a new product, or run out and switch mid-routine, your skin has to recalibrate. That recalibration window is often when irritation flares, breakouts spike, or you decide a product "isn't working." Full-size means consistency. And for this skin type, consistency is the active ingredient no one talks about. This routine was designed for people who are done testing and ready to give their skin the stability it needs to actually respond. What you can expect With consistent morning and evening use, this routine may help: - Support skin through the active healing phase of breakouts - Calm visible redness and post-breakout inflammation - Reduce the appearance of post-acne marks over time - Improve your skin's overall tolerance, including to treatments and actives - Build a clearer, more resilient complexion Results are gradual. Barrier healing typically unfolds over 4–8 weeks of consistent use, with skin comfort often improving sooner. How to use the routine Use morning and evening. Cleanse Apply Moisture Replenishing Essence to slightly damp skin; press in gently Apply Essential Hydration Serum Apply Clarifying Glow Serum Finish with Radiant Perfecting Cream Follow with SPF in the morning If your skin is very reactive, start with Steps 1, 2, and 4 only, introduce the Clarifying Glow Serum after 1–2 weeks once your skin feels stable. This routine is for you if: Your skin is acne-prone and sensitive or reactive, you need both addressed, not just one. You've been stuck in a cycle of breakouts → harsh treatment → irritation → more breakouts. You've been through the Proactiv phase, the prescription phase, the "just one more serum" phase. You're done with aggressive and ready for something that actually supports your skin. If your skin is currently in an acute flare or feels too reactive to introduce the Clarifying Glow Serum, consider starting with our Recovery & Barrier Reset Routine first. I appreciate that there is practically no scent. My sensitive skin loves this!" — Rachael R., Verified Buyer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From Amy, Founder & Formulator This routine was created for people who feel like their skin has been through enough. Healing acne doesn't come from pushing harder, it comes from listening, supporting, and staying consistent. When skin feels safe, clarity follows. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is this routine too many steps for sensitive skin? No, and here's why. Four steps sounds like a lot until you understand that each one has a specific job that the others can't do. The Essence preps; the Hydration Serum supports; the Clarifying Serum treats gently; the Cream protects. Cutting any one of them leaves a gap. That said, if your skin is very reactive, you can introduce the Clarifying Glow Serum gradually, see the "how to use" instructions above. Can I use this with my prescription treatments (retinoid, topical antibiotic, etc.)? Yes, this routine is designed to work alongside prescription regimens, not replace them. The Essence and Hydration Serum before your prescription treatment help buffer the barrier. The Cream after helps seal and protect. If you're on tretinoin specifically, Rachael's review above describes the experience well. How long until I see results? Skin comfort often improves within the first 1–2 weeks. Visible changes in clarity and tone typically build over 4–8 weeks of consistent daily use. What's the difference between this and the Recovery & Barrier Reset Routine? The Acne Healing Routine includes the Clarifying Glow Serum, the active treatment step. It's designed for ongoing, consistent acne management. The Recovery & Barrier Reset removes that active step and adds the Tranquil Face Oil, for moments when your skin needs rest before it's ready for treatment. Do you ever offer this routine with the Vitamin C Serum included? The Vitamin C Antioxidant Serum is a great add-on once your barrier is stable and your skin is tolerating the core routine well. It works best as a next step after you've established this foundation, not necessarily at the start of a healing routine.
