Strawberry Seduction Yarrow

With a name like 'Strawberry Seduction' it's only natural that this plant is irresistibly lavish. The Achillea Strawberry Seduction blooms from summer to fall and brightens up any full-sun garden. Many consider this to be the crown jewel of the seduction series of Yarrows. Strawberry Seduction Yarrow has rich, velvety red flowers that float atop long sturdy stems. The dense upright habit and long bloom period make them a great addition to the butterfly garden. This common yarrow cultivar is heat-loving and drought tolerant once established. Botanically referred to as 'Achillea millefolium,' these sun-loving perennials enjoy conditions of well drained soils and full sun. Large flat flower heads with bright gold centers is a magnet to local pollinators. This juicy red Achillea especially attracts the patronage of butterflies and bumblebees. Removing the spent flowers can prolong the flowering season. Other than its use for beauty and color in the garden, as well as its ability to attract butterflies, Achillea Strawberry Seduction is loved for its leafy green foliage and hardiness to the elements. The drought tolerant and deer-resistant plant may appear delicate; but it is extremely hardy! Plant Achillea in cottage gardens, perennial borders and pollinator gardens alike! Cut your yarrow foliage and blooms for a unique and show-stopping cut flower arrangement.
