Ace Porto Stripe Stretch Woven

Black and white fine stripes in a stretch woven that is ideal for both tops and bottoms. Deadstock, found in LA. Imagine my surprise to find this is the exact same fabric as in my favorite Porto pants, which I happened to be wearing when I found this. I search for this type of fabric which is similar to that used in some of my own favorite RTW pants and jackets, as it has excellent stretch and recovery, a smooth surface so other garments slide over/under easily, and is comfortable to wear and is an ideal fiber blend. Mid-weight (slimming, not thick or heavy). Has lengthwise stretch; cut on the cross-grain so the stretch goes around the body. Matte, with a cool, dry hand and lightly crisp drape. Pant perfect - right for fitted and softer pants. A good choice for a jacket, vest, duster coat, skirt, structured dress, or jumpsuit. Ideal for travel and wardrobing. 75% viscose/21% nylon/4% lycra 57"
