Accora FloorBed Plus Bariatric Ultra-Low Floor-Level Hospital Bed

The Accora FloorBed Plus: Bariatric Ultra-Low Floor-Level Hospital Bed The Accora FloorBed Plus is a bariatric, ultra-low, fully electric hospital bed engineered for plus-size users who require higher weight capacity, a wider sleeping surface, and enhanced stability, without compromising fall-risk reduction. Built on Accora’s floor-level bed technology, FloorBed Plus lowers to just 3.1 inches, helping reduce fall impact by minimizing vertical drop while supporting safe transfers, dignified care, and caregiver ergonomics. Designed for home care, memory care, long-term care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing environments, FloorBed Plus balances bariatric strength with floor-level safety principles. Why Floor-Level Matters for Bariatric Care Standard bariatric hospital beds often rely on side rails or restraints to manage fall risk. FloorBed Plus takes a different approach by lowering close to floor level, reducing fall height and helping turn potential falls into low-impact rolls rather than high-force drops. While its minimum height is slightly higher than FloorBed1, FloorBed Plus prioritizes structural reinforcement, platform width, and predictable stability, critical factors for bariatric users and caregivers. Who This Bed Is Best For Plus-size users requiring up to 496 lb patient capacity Individuals at high risk of rolling or falling from bed, especially at night People with dementia, cognitive decline, or nighttime restlessness Users needing safer, predictable transfers Facilities seeking fall-risk reduction without reliance on restraints Why Choose the Accora FloorBed Plus?  Bariatric Strength, Built for Safety 42″ wide bariatric platform for comfort, repositioning, and stability.  Safe working load: 573 lbs (patient + accessories) Lowers to 3.1 inches, safer than any standard low bed Vertical lift design keeps the bed footprint stable at all heights Helps prevent fall injuries without rest Smooth, quiet motors designed for heavy-duty daily use Full Electric hi-lo height adjustment, backrest articulation with auto-regression, knee break positioning, Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg functions, and an ergonomic handset with lockout controls.
