You'll want some sort of substrate for your mantis enclosure. It will promote a diverse ecosystem and will absorb moisture, helping to keep humidity at healthy levels. This is 12 ounces loose and pre-moistened coconut fiber, which works very well as a mantis substrate. Made from ground coconut husks, this 100% natural material is thoroughly non-toxic and is fully biodegradable. And it absorbs moisture with little decay or mold, keeping your mantis environment clean and healthy.
