ABUS Pro Tectic Adapter Chain 4960 (3.3')

Hardened Steel Chain for Double-Lock Security The ABUS Adapter Chain transforms a frame lock into a complete security system by letting you secure your bike to a fixed object without adding complexity. The 6mm hardened steel chain extends 100 centimeters (3.3 feet), long enough to wrap around a lamp post, bike rack, or other solid anchor. ABUS' patented push-n-lock technology means you don't need a second key or separate locking mechanism: simply feed the chain through the frame lock's attachment housing and you're done. No fumbling with extra locks or shackles. The coated loop ring protects your bike's paint when threading the chain through spokes or tight spaces, while the hardened steel construction resists cutting and leverage attacks. This chain works with ABUS frame locks (models 4960, 5650, 5850, 5950) and the Alarmbox 2.0, giving you the security of fixing both wheel and frame to an immovable object. A frame lock alone stops wheel theft; adding this chain stops the entire bike from being carried away. Double Security Without Complexity 6mm hardened steel chain resists cutting and prying attempts 100 centimeter length wraps around posts, racks, and other secure anchor points Patented push-n-lock plug-in design, no secondary key or lock mechanism needed Coated loop ring protects bicycle paint from scratches when threading through spokes or gaps Works with ABUS frame locks 4960, 5650, 5850, 5950 and Alarmbox 2.0 Simple one-hand operation: wrap, feed, lock into housing, and you're secured to a fixed object Weighs just 860 grams (1.9 lbs), easy to carry or store in a saddle bag Extends security beyond wheel-locking to full bike immobilization Ideal for commuters, delivery riders, and anyone parking in high-theft areas German-engineered by ABUS, a leader in bicycle security since 1924
