My art is not just about visuals; it’s the voice of those who came before us, those who fought to protect our land and cultural identity. Each poster I design is a piece of my soul, a connection between the past and present. I hope that when you hang it in your space, you feel the strength, pride, and love for the values we continue to preserve. Your support is not just about purchasing a piece of art, it’s about joining the journey to protect and honor the heritage of the Cherokee tribe and other Native communities. Thank you for being a part of this story.     When I work on these posters and canvases, I don’t begin with colors or layouts. I begin with memory. I think about the stories that were told long before books recorded them. Stories carried by voices around the fire, by hands that beaded, carved, painted, and passed knowledge forward without needing permission to exist. Every image I create is shaped by that same intention: to keep those stories moving, breathing, and present in the world we live in today. Growing up, history was not something distant to us. It lived on our walls, in the objects we surrounded ourselves with, in the names we spoke with respect. Images of our leaders, our ceremonies, our struggles, and our teachings were not decoration. They were reminders. They told us who we came from and who we were expected to become.   That is the purpose behind this work.   Each poster carries more than an image. It carries a moment of truth, a lesson, or a voice that once tried to be silenced. Whether it speaks of the Trail of Tears, the wisdom of our elders, or the courage of leaders like Crazy Horse, each piece is created to slow us down, to ask us to look closer, and to remember that history is not behind us. It walks with us. Bringing these stories into a home is an act of respect. It means choosing to live alongside memory instead of letting it fade. It means allowing history to speak in everyday spaces, where children ask questions, where conversations begin, where learning happens quietly and naturally.   This work is my way of honoring those who came before us. It is my way of making sure their teachings are not locked away in museums or textbooks, but continue to live where they always belonged: among the people.   Because when history is visible, it becomes personal. And when it becomes personal, it is never forgotten.     💝THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING US!💝 Step up your boring blank walls with the standard poster. This remarkable piece of illustrated cartography was designed by Michael Mcardle-Nakoma and published in 1996. According to the author’s text below the title, “This map gives a Native American perspective by placing the tribes when they were in full flower – the ‘Glory Days’.” Portraits of indigenous leaders and representative profiles are noted throughout the image and within the borders. Other vignettes highlight important architectural sites, various forms of habitation, and objects of cultural relevance like body looms and peace pipes. Blocks of text provide descriptive information and historical background for various regional groups ranging from Mesoamerica to the Arctic Circle. From Rumsey;
