Abstract Energy

Abstract Energy | Original Mixed-Media Painting There are moments in the creative process that cannot be planned — only released. Abstract Energy is one of those moments, preserved. Across a 16" × 20" canvas, black, blue, and pink collide in a composition that is simultaneously chaotic and completely intentional. Energetic streaks cut through the surface with velocity and direction. Splatters land and radiate outward. Swirling lines loop and cross and double back, building a layered visual rhythm that the eye follows instinctively — not because it leads somewhere specific, but because the movement itself is the destination. The combination of acrylic and latex paint introduces a quiet complexity beneath the surface energy. Glossy passages catch light and hold it. Matte areas absorb it. The contrast between the two finishes creates a dimensional interplay that makes the painting shift and breathe as you move around it — different in morning light than afternoon, different up close than from across a room. Pink cuts through the darker tones with a surprising warmth — not soft, not decorative, but charged. It keeps the composition from settling into anything too heavy or too resolved. Blue anchors and deepens. Black defines and punctuates. Together the three colors move like something alive. Abstract Energy does not ask you to be still while you look at it. It asks you to feel what it felt like to make it. A bold, expressive work for collectors who want art that brings genuine vitality into a space.
