Unassumingly Radiant

This 36×36 inch acrylic painting depicts a vibrant, stylized woodland scene with tall, slender tree trunks rendered in expressive hues of blue, violet, and warm red. The canopy above is dense and lively, built from loose, impressionistic brushstrokes in varied greens, punctuated by touches of white and yellow that suggest sunlight filtering through. A soft peach-pink sky glows behind the trees, adding warmth and contrast to the cooler tones. The foreground is filled with an abundant spread of flowering plants in pinks, magentas, yellows, and whites, painted with energetic, textured strokes. Rather than focusing on fine detail, the work emphasizes color, light, and movement, creating an impressionistic, almost dreamlike atmosphere that feels both serene and joyful. The artist was inspired by sunlight coloring the tree trunks with dappled warm tones, as well as coming upon a patch of vibrant wildflowers along the side of the road. Painting is on gallery wrapped canvas and extends around the edges so it may be hung without a frame. Wired and ready for hanging, protected with a glossy varnish.
