The rounded shape of the Abeno can be traced to the 1970s when the students of Boston universities wore a certain style of glasses, which were later on named as Boston frames. They are characterized by an inverted triangular design. They create a flattering visual balance and a less overwhelming look than many circular frames. Slate is a natural gray lens that precisely balances the three primary colors, delivering true-to-life vision with no distortion. This lens has a silver vacuum deposition mirror coating applied.
