Abel SDX Reel

The Apex of High-Capacity Performance When everything runs, you need a reel that can catch up. The Abel SDX (Sealed Drag Extreme) is engineered for the most demanding environments on the planet—from the blistering heat of the Seychelles to the heavy torque of Pacific Spey casting. Featuring the largest arbor and fastest line pickup in Abel’s history, the SDX is built for the moment when control is the only thing that matters Available in two sizes—9/11 and 12/14—with 5" and 5.5" diameters for faster line pickup. These reels are purpose built for chasing permit, tarpon, and giant trevally on tropical flats, or in the hands of Spey anglers swinging flies for steelhead and salmon. The SDX 12/14 is tuned for tackling big bad bluewater predators like tuna, makos, marlin, and sailfish.   Whether you're stalking the mangroves of the Yucatán or running offshore in the Seychelles, the SDX reel is made for the moment when everything runs.  With so many custom options if you don't see what you want call us, we're happy to help.
