Abel SDS Reels - Painted

These Abel SDS Reels are one of a kind, and absolutely stunning. Abel knocked it out of the park with Abel SDS Reels. Each reel is a stunning piece of functional art. This is the ported model, lightweight for its size yet still has a nice balance on heavier saltwater rod weights all the while maintaining that classic Abel feel. The Abel SDS Reels offer a robust drag that will stop about anything in the ocean. Classic black drag knob and wood handles keep the SDS truly Abel! All Abel SDS Reels come with a very nice Cordura reel pouch. The options shown are what we currently have in stock for Abel SDS Reels. Here is what Abel has to say about their Abel SDS Reels: Winner of the best new saltwater reel at the 2016 ICAST/IFTD show, the Abel SDS (Sealed Drag Salt) takes all the power, reliability, and smoothness of its smaller counterpart and combines them in a larger package capable of taking on saltwater gamefish of all sizes. A unique multi-disc drag system yields an industry-leading 20+ pounds of braking power and is completely sealed from the elements. Abel SDS Reels are available in three sizes making the SDS perfect for fighting big bones on light tippet as well as providing the power needed to halt hard-fighting tarpon in their tracks.
