Built entirely by hand—one at a time—using proprietary butyrate bobbins, 42 AWG plain enamel wire, rough cast Alnico 5 magnets, and nickel silver baseplates, these pickups deliver the kind of tone that inspires from the first note. Designed to be a medium-output, PAF-style humbucker with just the right amount of extra push, the AB Customs offer exceptional clarity, warmth, and punch with the responsiveness and articulation players have come to expect from Sheptone. Whether you're chasing classic rock tones, bluesy breakup, or studio-grade cleans, these pickups are voiced to perform. Each set measures approximately 8.5k (bridge) and 8.0k (neck) for perfectly balanced output across positions. Choose from double black, zebra, reverse zebra, or period-correct nickel steel covers in nickel or gold-plated finishes. Favored by pros, collectors, and tone purists alike, the AB Custom Humbuckers are built for players who demand the very best—from the stage to the studio and everywhere in between. With a lifetime craftsmanship warranty against manufacture's defects and satisfaction guaranteed, you can’t go wrong.   Specifications: • 42 AWG plain enamel wire • Butyrate bobbins (proprietary) • Rough cast Alnico 5 magnets • Maple wood spacer • Nickel silver baseplates • Neck: ~8.0k / Bridge: ~8.5k • Available uncovered (double black, zebra, reverse zebra) or covered (nickel, aged, or gold)   If all of the above is enough to convince you, here are some sound clips: Sheptone Guitar Pickups · AB Custom Humbucker Bridge 3 Sheptone Guitar Pickups · AB Custom Humbucker Bridge 2 Sheptone Guitar Pickups · AB Custom Humbucker Bridge 1
