Open the jaws to suit the material thickness. Centre the clamp on the load so the weight is balanced between the jaws. Take up tension slowly and confirm the jaws have gripped before lifting clear. Never exceed the rated 2,646 lb (1,200 kg). Move the load steadily, using tag lines for control; never stand under it. Set the load down fully so the clamp goes slack before releasing.
