NATIVE HAWAIIAN DESIGN This ʻōlelo noʻeau encourages us to be brave and choose to dance, leaving your shyness and self-consciousness at home. This proverb is an cornerstone principle in the world of hula (Native Hawaiian dance), and an important life lesson that is also applicable in our everyday lives. It can be so intimidating and nerve-wracking to stand up in front of a crowd and perform. What if you mess up? What if you make a fool of yourself? It is so easy to hide and tell yourself that you should not. You have so much capacity to grow if you give yourself the opportunity to do so. Allow yourself the space to be brave, take a chance and try something new. To "just do it". You have your friends, family and ancestors standing behind you to support you. Wear this design to show the world that you are ready to accept the challenge and dance!
