Why the Door Lock Relay Module is Essential The included Universal Door Lock Relay Module Kit is designed to ensure seamless compatibility between the A4 Keyless Entry System and universal door lock actuators. This relay module converts the low-power signal from the keyless entry system into a stronger pulse needed to operate the actuators, making it ideal for vehicles without factory power locks. It bridges the connection, enabling reliable lock and unlock functions for your vehicle’s doors. Why the iDatalink Immobilizer Bypass Module is Essential The iDatalink Multi Series Immobilizer Bypass Module is crucial for vehicles with factory-installed immobilizers or advanced CAN bus systems. This module enables seamless communication between your aftermarket remote start system and your car’s computer, bypassing security features that prevent unauthorized engine starts. With vehicle-specific firmware, it ensures compatibility with most modern vehicles, allowing reliable remote start and security functions while maintaining the car’s built-in safety and security features. Do You Need These Modules? Universal Door Lock Relay Module: If your vehicle does not have factory-installed power door locks, or if it has manual door locks, this module is necessary. It converts the signal from the Keyless Entry System to power the door lock actuators. This is especially common in older vehicle models without built-in power locks. iDatalink Immobilizer Bypass Module: Most modern vehicles have factory immobilizers or advanced CAN bus systems that prevent remote starting without a bypass module. If your vehicle has a chip in the key or requires a specific key fob to start, you’ll likely need this bypass module to allow remote start functionality. If you're unsure, consult your vehicle manual or a local automotive technician to confirm whether these modules are required based on your car’s make and model.
