A3-2T Engines

The Estes A3-2T mini engine delivers a neat balance of gentle power and a short, dependable delay. This 13mm motor produces a crisp boost that carries very light rockets to their peak quickly, then times a 2 second coast for a clean transition to recovery. It is ideal for models that weigh up to the mini engine limits and for flyers who want satisfying altitude without complex setup. What makes the A3-2T stand out is its consistency and user friendly performance. Expect reliable starts, predictable thrust duration, and repeatable delays so you can focus on building, flying, and enjoying recovery. These engines are made to the same quality standards Estes flyers count on, so you get dependable results whether you are teaching a newcomer or polishing a weekend launch routine. The A3-2T works with a wide range of our mini kits including Star Hopper, The Gnome, The Firestreak, Gryphon, Mini Honest John and many others. Its modest impulse and 2 second delay are best for rockets and small payloads that benefit from a short coast before descent. Consult your rocket kit flight data to match the engine to the model for the safest, highest performing flights. Each pack contains four A3-2T engines along with starters and mini starter plugs so you have what you need for multiple flights. Always follow the included safety instructions and local launch site rules. Ready to add consistent, fun flights to your next launch day? Pick up a pack and get airborne.
