A WINTER SUNSET

Since the beginning of the new year, it has been overcast and gloomy most days. Today started out no different then the other days with the gloomy weather except, that the forecast was showing partial sun breaks in the afternoon. I decided to head out around late morning and hope the forecast would be correct. I was just slowly meandering around the Park waiting for that change. About 2 pm the clouds started to break and I decided that I would catch the sunset at Wildflower Lake in a couple hours. The weather had been in the upper thirties witch caused the ice on the surface of the lake to melt and left some nice patterns behind. At this time, the sun was setting and close to the horizon so, I set my tripod up along the banks of the lake and began shooting. This is 1 of the images from the sunset.
