A Taste For Fear (1988)

In a decadent future filled with electric cars and police officers armed with ray guns, a glamorous fashion photographer becomes embroiled in a twisted murder mystery after a steamy encounter with a muscular female model. When the model turns up dead shortly after their intimate meeting, suspicion quickly falls on the photographer’s ex boyfriend, a sleazy filmmaker specializing in bondage videos. A tough cop begins unraveling the bizarre case, and things grow even stranger as another victim is discovered alongside a video recording that appears to show the actual murder. But the footage reveals a surprising twist. The murderer appears to be a mysterious woman, sparking a chaotic chase through a futuristic city as the detective tries desperately to solve the case before more bodies turn up. Italian director Piccio Raffanini crafts an unforgettable erotic thriller that blurs the lines between giallo cinema and dystopian science fiction. With stylish cinematography, imaginative futuristic visuals, and an offbeat cast led by Virginia Hey of Mad Max 2 fame, A Taste for Fear offers an eccentric take on the Italian giallo. Featuring appearances by Kid Creole and an intriguing blend of sex, violence, and surrealism, this film stands out as a truly unique cinematic oddity. 92 minutes STANDARD FORMAT English audio sound with non-removable Japanese subtitles DVD is NTSC format, Region 0 (region free) playable world wide Also known as: Pathos - Segreta inquietudine, Obsession: A Taste for Fear   Directed by Piccio Raffanini Starring: Virginia Hey, Gerard Darmon, Gioia Scola, Dario Parisini, Carin McDonald, Teagan Clive, Eva Grimaldi, and Kid Creole
