A.M. Rescue - Breakfast Blend

A.M. Rescue is Greater Goods Roasting's answer to the perfect morning cup: a spirited blend of Costa Rican and Brazilian beans that delivers approachable sweetness without sacrificing complexity. Sourced from sustainable farms at elevations between 1200-1900 meters, this light-medium roast combines Red Honey processed Costa Rican coffee with Natural processed Brazilian beans—both from Red and Yellow Catuaí varieties—to create a forgiving, friendly brew that welcomes you into the day. The result is a coffee that tastes like comfort itself: honey nut sweetness mingles with creamy milk chocolate and gentle caramel undertones. The body is smooth and rounded, acidity is mellow and pleasant, and the finish lingers just long enough to make you reach for another sip. This is the coffee equivalent of a warm hug—no sharp edges, no demanding flavor notes, just pure morning ease. Tasting NotesExpect prominent honey nut sweetness on the front palate, transitioning to milk chocolate richness in the mid-palate, with a soft caramel finish. The body is medium and silky, with gentle acidity that never overpowers. The Natural processing from Brazil contributes fruity sweetness, while the Red Honey process from Costa Rica adds complexity and a syrupy mouthfeel. Together, they create a balanced cup that's never boring but never challenging—ideal for those early hours when your brain hasn't fully engaged yet. Brew MethodsA.M. Rescue shines in drip coffee makers and pour over methods, where its balanced profile and clean finish really sing. It's particularly well-suited for auto-drip machines—the kind you can set up the night before and wake up to. The forgiving nature of this blend also makes it excellent in French press, where the fuller body amplifies those chocolate notes. While not specifically designed for espresso, adventurous home baristas will find it pulls a sweet, approachable shot that works beautifully in milk-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.
