A Long Pause

Some rooms need to breathe. A Long Pause is not about an artist or an era. It is about a feeling — the specific stillness that only comes after something loud. Every record in this piece was chosen to hold the same mood, their labels and grooves becoming texture for a single sustained note. It is the kind of work that changes with the light. Quieter in the morning. Heavier at night. What sound do you return to when you need to be still? Size: 30″ × 30″ Materials: Recycled vinyl records, hand carved with a wood burning tool Year: 2025
