A Timely Resource for a Growing Church What’s fueling this unexpected surge? A growing restlessness. A sense of spiritual emptiness. A longing for meaning and purpose in a noisy, fractured world. More and more people are bringing their deepest questions to the Catholic Church—and discovering in her a rich tradition that speaks to both the heart and the mind. A Journey through the Catechism meets this moment with clarity, depth, and a pastoral approach that invites readers into deeper conversion. Rooted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church Building on This Is Our Faith: A Catholic Catechism for Adults by Michael Pennock, this fresh companion retains the trusted question-and-answer format while incorporating the pastoral voice of Fr. Daniel J. Mahan, Director of the USCCB’s Institute on the Catechism. With clarity and compassion, Fr. Mahan engages the real questions people bring about God, faith, and the Church. When answers are difficult, he offers practical wisdom—encouraging readers to keep seeking and trusting in the God who seeks them first. Built for OCIA and Adult Faith Formation Organized around the four pillars of the Catechism—Creed, Sacraments, Christian Life, and Prayer—this Catholic study program helps participants: profess their faith worship meaningfully live morally and justly develop a life of prayer Through personal reflections, sound reasoning, and real-world examples, readers are invited not only to understand the faith—but to live it.
