A Heart Assigned & A Heart Assured

With the New Year comes hope for a better one. A clean slate, if you will, to leave the past behind and start fresh. For these characters, that’s exactly what they intend to do. They’re not running away; they’re running toward something new. Carlie Rose Long is one of the many. I’ve been left behind to carry on with life after losing my husband, Felton. I’m drowning. I’m slowly losing the will to live. Then I find a letter that leads to more letters from Felton with specific instructions. They send me on a journey that leads me face to face with my secret. Right into the home and arms of the one I’ve had forbidden passionate dreams about. And Hunter Shaw. I’m the man who dropped off the radar after my wife died. I moved with plans to mend my heart and live again. But love was never in the plan. When I learn of Felton’s death, I remember the vow I made. Never open the two letters unless he dies, and one with Carlie Rose in my presence. Will this new assignment for her heart present Carlie and Hunter with a clean slate? Or will beginning again, with each other, be too painful for them both?   About A  Heart Assured  In A Heart Assured, Hunter and Carlie Rose Long-Shaw have built a life of love and tranquility in the Bahamas, raising their daughters —who are now in college, and finding peace after years of heartache. But when Carlie is diagnosed with breast cancer, their world is turned upside down. Forced to leave their island paradise, they return to Carlie’s hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, where they must confront both the challenges of her illness and the realities of a new life. As Hunter and Carlie navigate this uncertain journey, they rediscover their deep bond and learn to love each other in new ways. Surrounded by old friends and family, they face their fears together, proving that love can endure even the hardest of times and trusting the Lord will pay off in the end. A Heart Assured is a powerful story of resilience, hope, and the unbreakable connection between two people who refuse to give up on each other or God
