9" Fox with Reversible Sign

This carving is handmade by talented carvers in Colorado from standing dead beetle kill pine logs. Only dry wood is used and the naturally occurring cracks are carefully positioned before carving to ensure the highest quality and to prevent further cracking and checking. Cracking and checking is part of the natural aging process of pine wood and enhances the natural beauty of this art form. This carving has been finished with two coats of water-based exterior spar-urethane and can be displayed outside, however it is recommended that 1-2 coats of exterior finish is reapplied each year to protect it from the elements. Each sign is reversible with Welcome on one side and Go Away on the other.
