Sterling Silver VooDooStone Bead Drop Huggie Earrings — Color-Changing Stone

✨ Experience the unique magic of the VooDooStone™ — the trademarked color-changing gem found only at David's Antiques & Jewelry in New Orleans. Two fine sterling bead chains fall from a sparkling huggie hoop, each ending in a faceted round VooDooStone bead. The VooDooStone sees light differently than the human eye and shifts instantly between three colors: a purplish-pink in daylight, a golden amber under warm incandescent light, and a vivid peridot green under fluorescent light. The earring fastens with a small .925 sterling silver huggie hoop, pavé-set across the front with a single row of tiny round white stones. A diamond-cut sterling bead sits just below the hoop where the two ball-bead chains begin. The chains hang at different lengths — one shorter, one longer — and each carries a round, fully faceted VooDooStone bead framed above and below by a small diamond-cut silver bead, so the two stones sit staggered rather than side by side. Because the stones are drilled beads rather than set stones, light enters from every direction and the color change shows from any angle. Long, light and full of movement — a dressy pair that swings as you walk and shifts color as you move between rooms. Part of David's VooDooStone Collection — the bestselling line at our French Quarter storefront on Royal Street, and a one-of-a-kind NOLA souvenir you can wear every day. The VooDooStone responds to the color temperature of light, so it changes from purplish-pink to golden amber to peridot green as you move from daylight to indoor lamps to fluorescent light. VooDooStone™ is a trademarked gem, exclusive to David's Antiques & Jewelry in the French Quarter. Why are the two chains different lengths? The staggered drop is deliberate — it keeps the two stones from overlapping and gives the earring a longer, more fluid line as it moves. Do the small white stones change color too? No — only the VooDooStone beads change. The pavé stones on the hoop stay bright white, which makes the color shift stand out more. How do I care for this piece? Wipe the .925 sterling silver with a soft polishing cloth and avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine and perfume. Store it in a dry pouch to slow tarnish.
