The VooDooStone™ is a trademarked color-changing gem exclusive to David’s Antiques & Jewelry. It shifts between purplish-pink, golden amber, and peridot green depending on the light source — daylight, incandescent, and fluorescent — because the stone literally sees light differently than the human eye. Why an east-west setting? Setting an emerald-cut horizontally (east-west) gives the stone a wider visual presence on the finger and pairs especially well with a wider band — a contemporary departure from the traditional north-south orientation. How do I care for this ring? Buff with a soft polishing cloth to maintain the Sterling Silver shine. Avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine, and ultrasonic cleaners. Store in the pouch provided to prevent tarnish. Read more about our trademarked stone: The Enigmatic VooDooStone — A Jewel From Another World
