This English Elm slab has rich color, flowing grain, and strong crotch figure through the upper section. The wider top, natural edge shape, and movement around the knots give it plenty of character while still offering a usable surface for a custom project. This slab would work well as a dining table, with enough width for a functional top. It could also be used for a desk, where the grain movement would create an interesting work surface. Another practical option would be a headboard, allowing the shape and English Elm figure to stand out in a finished piece.
