This Eastern White Pine slab has a bright, creamy color palette accented by dramatic dark mineral streaks that create bold contrast across the face of the wood. Harvested from the grounds of Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts, this slab carries a unique connection to one of New England’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Its wide proportions and clean live edges provide an excellent balance between character and usability, resulting in a slab that feels both refined and rich with local history. This slab would make a beautiful headboard, where the dramatic mineral streaks could serve as a natural focal point in the room. It would also work wonderfully as a custom countertop, bringing warmth and rustic appeal to a cabin, farmhouse, or cottage setting. For a unique furniture project, it could be crafted into a spacious desk, offering a bright work surface highlighted by the slab’s distinctive natural features and remarkable provenance.
