This Maple slab has striking figure throughout, with prominent curly and quilted movement running across much of the surface. The warm golden color, irregular live edges, natural openings, and dramatic grain shifts give it a highly sculptural look, while the broad lower section provides a substantial area of uninterrupted figured wood. This slab would be well suited for a bar top, where the dramatic live edge and figure can become a focal point, a countertop that takes advantage of its long usable surface, or a headboard that showcases the slab vertically and preserves its natural shape.
