Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 Stand-mount Speaker Pair

Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 Standmount Loudspeakers: Experience Excellence, Evolved The Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 standmount loudspeaker represents the culmination of Bowers & Wilkins' expertise in crafting high-fidelity audio experiences. Each generation of the 800 Series Diamond marks a significant advancement, and the 805 D4 is no exception. Despite being the most compact model in the series, it integrates an array of cutting-edge technologies to deliver exceptional sound quality. Unmatched Sonic Performance Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top™: This innovation creates an incredibly free and open soundscape, particularly in the high frequencies. The meticulously decoupled housing, milled from a solid block of aluminum, minimizes resonance for pristine audio. Matrix™: This bracing system utilizes interlocking panels to reinforce the cabinet walls internally in all directions. This significantly reduces resonance and fosters a more realistic soundstage. Diamond Dome Tweeter: The exceptional stiffness-to-lightness ratio of diamond makes it the ideal tweeter material. B&W's diamond domes deliver unparalleled acoustic detail, unmatched naturalism, and a spacious sound character. Continuum™ cone: This innovative cone avoids the abrupt performance shifts that can plague conventional drive units. The result is a more open, neutral performance that reproduces voices and instruments with remarkable precision and transparency. Advanced Engineering for Uncompromised Audio Aluminum Top-Plate: Every 800 Series Diamond speaker boasts a significantly upgraded cabinet design, featuring a completely new aluminum top section for enhanced rigidity. This design also provides a perfect platform for the luxurious black leather or light gray leather cabinet detailing by Connolly. Rear-Mounted Crossover: The 800 Series Diamond line now features rear-mounted crossovers, housed on sturdy aluminum spines. This isolates sensitive capacitors from air pressure variations within the enclosure and functions as a highly effective heatsink for optimal performance during use. Reverse Wrap Cabinet: Instead of a conventional flat-fronted speaker with a curved back, Bowers & Wilkins utilizes a single, continuous curve cabinet design secured by a solid aluminum spine. This minimizes junctions for a more rigid and inert structure. The curved front minimizes baffle diffraction around the drive units, resulting in improved sound dispersion and reduced cabinet reflection. The Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 standmount loudspeakers are the embodiment of cutting-edge technology and acoustic mastery. They are a perfect choice for discerning audiophiles seeking an unparalleled listening experience.
