8″ x 4″ 95A Orange Premium Polyurethane on Iron Roller – Model 100 Rigid Caster

Model 100 Plate Rigid Casters are moved mostly with machine controlled equipment because of the weighted loads they can bear. The legs on rigid model 100 have a gusset welded to the middle of the legs for added toughness. Rigid frames are zinc plated for rust resistance and there is a lubricated fitting for the wheel bearings. Model 100 Rigids are offered with both 3” wide wheels with 1” diameter axle and 4” wide wheels with a 1 1/4” diameter axle. Rigid Plate Casters are usually attached to machinery at the other end of the tow bar or push handle. Rigids help in controlling the direction machinery is moved. If machinery must to be positioned within a confined space we recommend using all plate swivel casters to move the equipment because rigids will not move sideways. Special premium polyurethane which slows down internal heat that builds up from high loads and significantly increases in its load capacity and life span. The “PX” Premium Polyurethane on Iron Wheel is engineered for heavy-duty industrial applications, featuring a 1″ thick polyurethane tire (95A Durometer) bonded to a robust iron core. With sizes ranging from 2″ to 4″ widths and diameters up to 16″, it supports impressive load capacities—up to 10,000 lbs for the 16×5 size. Its standout feature is the ability to slow down heat buildup during operation, minimizing wear and prolonging service life in high-stress settings. This wheel delivers smooth rolling, chemical resistance, and non-marking performance, making it ideal for industries like aerospace, defense, and manufacturing. Equipped with precision sealed ball or tapered roller bearings, it functions reliably between -20° and 180° F, ensuring durability where performance is critical. The polyurethane layer not only absorbs impact to protect floors and cargo but also reduces noise, a key advantage in controlled environments. Trusted by industry leaders in the aerospace and automotive world, the “PX” wheel excels at safeguarding valuable surfaces and equipment while maintaining cool operation in high-friction or continuous-use scenarios. It’s not designed for rough terrain or sudden shocks—opt for smooth, controlled settings to maximize its benefits. Premium Polyurethane (PX) Industrial Caster Wheel The PX Industrial Caster Wheel from Caster City is our highest-capacity polyurethane caster wheel, engineered for heavy-duty applications. Built with a premium 95A Durometer polyurethane tread (available in ½”, ¾”, or 1” thickness depending on width) and finished in signature orange, this wheel is softer and more resilient than standard 65D polyurethane or other heavy industrial options. It delivers unmatched performance for power towing and transporting large loads indoors or outdoors. Key Features and Benefits Superior Load Capacity and Durability: Supports higher loads than any other polyurethane caster wheel we manufacture, thanks to our proprietary Megapoly™ compound. This advanced formulation slows internal heat buildup from extreme loads, extending wheel lifespan and ensuring reliable performance under the heaviest demands. Enhanced Resiliency and Ease of Motion: The soft, rebounding polyurethane tread requires less effort to initiate movement, making it ideal for one-person operation of substantial cargo. Its rapid rebound action outperforms standard polyurethane or rubber wheels, making it easier to start and maintain motion in manufacturing, staging, or facility transitions. Smoother Ride and Protection: Provides a vibration-dampening ride that safeguards sensitive machinery, components, and cargo. The thick tread also protects floors from wear, chipping, and “jackhammer” impacts common with harder wheels. Bearing Options: Available with either precision sealed ball bearings or tapered roller bearings for maximum rolling efficiency, especially during towing. This caster wheel excels in industrial environments, balancing extreme capacity with floor-friendly resilience for seamless heavy-load handling. Contact us at Caster City today for custom configurations. What is Durometer and How is it Measured? Durometer measures polyurethane hardness on the Shore scale. Shore A (softer treads): 75A for RF wheel, 65A for RH wheel, 60A for RQ wheel, 50A for RS wheel, 95A for the PX Polyurethane wheel Shore D (harder treads): 70D for PYH or HU Polyurethane Wheels Premium Polyurethane (PX) Industrial Caster Wheel from Caster City The Premium Polyurethane Wheel is our highest-capacity polyurethane wheel, designed for heavy-duty applications. Crafted with a signature orange, 95A Durometer polyurethane tread, available in ½”, ¾”, or 1” thickness depending on width, this wheel is softer and more resilient than standard 65D polyurethane or other heavy industrial alternatives. Its proprietary Megapoly™ compound slows internal heat buildup from extreme loads, significantly increasing load capacity and lifespan. This makes the PX wheel ideal for power towing and transporting large loads indoors or outdoors, offering unmatched durability and performance in demanding industrial environments. The PX wheel’s resilient 95A Durometer tread provides exceptional ease of motion, requiring less effort to initiate movement, perfect for one-person operation of substantial cargo.
