793012 Expander

The 793012 EXPANDER by Blackmer is a precision-engineered pump component designed for use in positive displacement and sliding vane pump applications. Manufactured by Blackmer and supplied by KI Pumps of Waukesha, WI, this expander plays a critical role in maintaining pump efficiency and reliability. Constructed from durable materials, the 793012 EXPANDER features a high-grade alloy that offers excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, ensuring long service life under demanding operating conditions. Its physical dimensions include an external diameter of approximately 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) and a length of about 2.2 inches (5.59 cm), making it suitable for integration into a variety of pump models. The expander weighs approximately 1.2 pounds (0.55 kg), facilitating ease of handling during installation or maintenance. Compatible with Blackmer pump models that require the 793012 EXPANDER, it is designed to fit precisely within specified assemblies, contributing to optimized pump performance. Specific features include a machined alloy surface finish for tight sealing, high dimensional accuracy with ±0.01 inches tolerances, and resistance to temperature extremes up to 200°F (93°C). This expander is engineered for applications where precise expansion control is critical, such as in chemical processing, oil and gas operations, and industrial fluid transfer systems. Its design ensures minimal wear and prevents leakage, thereby reducing downtime and maintenance costs. The 793012 EXPANDER is an ideal use case for maintenance of Blackmer positive displacement pumps, especially in situations requiring replacement of pump components to restore original performance levels. It is suitable for users with a focus on durability and efficiency in fluid handling, and it supports applications requiring high reliability over extended operational periods. Included in the package is the 793012 EXPANDER itself; there are no additional components or accessories supplied. Notable exclusions are pump-specific mounting hardware or lubricants—these must be sourced separately as per the pump manufacturer's specifications. For optimal longevity, the 793012 EXPANDER should be cleaned with non-abrasive solvents and inspected regularly for signs of wear or corrosion. It can be stored in a dry environment to prevent corrosion. The product does not include a manufacturer’s warranty, so routine maintenance checks are recommended to ensure proper operation over its service life.
