COBB Tuning Front Mount Intercooler Core Black - 2015-2021 Subaru WRX/STI

The Inlet: Where Factory Plastic Costs You Power The factory turbo inlet on the VA STI is a known restriction — a plastic piece designed around packaging constraints rather than airflow efficiency. The Cobb Tubo Inlet replaces it with a larger diameter unit designed to feed the turbocharger more freely. Less restriction at the inlet means the turbocharger can build boost from a stronger air supply, improving response and reducing heat-generating turbulence at the compressor inlet. Bolt-On at the Factory Turbo Inlet Location The Cobb inlet is a direct replacement for the factory unit on the VA STI — same mounting points, same connection to the airbox or intake tube, larger internal diameter. No clamps to modify, no heat shielding to relocate. It pairs directly with the Cobb SF Intake or factory airbox depending on the build state. The Piece That Makes Your Intake System Complete If you're running a Cobb intake or planning one, the inlet is the piece that completes the airflow path from filter to turbocharger. Running an upgraded intake with the stock inlet leaves a restriction in the system. The Cobb inlet ensures the full airflow path from filter to compressor wheel is matched. What's Included Cobb Turbo Inlet — 2015-2021 Subaru WRX STI About Cobb Tuning Cobb Tuning has been developing performance parts and tuning solutions for Subaru vehicles since 1999. Based in Austin, Texas, Cobb built their reputation on the Accessport — the most widely used Subaru ECU tuning device on the market — and expanded that into a full ecosystem of intake, exhaust, drivetrain, and engine bay accessories engineered specifically for the platforms they support. Every Cobb product is developed in-house and validated on their own test vehicles before it reaches customers. Subispeed carries the full Cobb catalog because their engineering standards and platform-specific development process consistently produce parts that work exactly as advertised.
