702242 O-Ring Teflon Sleeve Perfluoroalkoxy

The 702242 O-Ring Teflon Sleeve Perfluoroalkoxy is a high-performance pump sealing component produced by Blackmer and distributed by KI Pumps, based in Waukesha, WI. This O-ring incorporates a perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) Teflon sleeve, providing exceptional chemical resistance and high thermal stability. Made from perfluoroalkoxy material, the 702242 O-Ring can withstand temperatures up to approximately 500°F (260°C) and offers excellent inertness against aggressive, corrosive, and chemically reactive fluids. The O-ring has an outer diameter of approximately 2-259 millimeters, designed for compatibility with various pump models utilizing Blackmer components, including reciprocating and rotary pumps. It features a flat, circular shape with a smooth surface finish to ensure reliable sealing, minimize leak potential, and facilitate easy installation. The 702242 O-Ring Teflon Sleeve is suitable for use in chemical processing, petrochemical refineries, fluid transfer systems, and other industrial applications requiring durable, chemically resistant sealing solutions. It is compatible with pump assemblies for both new installations and replacements but does not include fittings or accessories in the packaging. Proper installation involves inspecting for damage, thoroughly cleaning sealing surfaces, and using a lubricant compatible with PFA materials to ease fitting. Routine inspection for signs of wear, deformation, or degradation is recommended, with replacements performed if necessary to maintain high sealing integrity. Designed for demanding environments, the 702242 O-Ring ensures long-term operational performance, leak prevention, and reliability in high-temperature, chemically aggressive pump applications."
