A lovely turquoise maiden figure with striking proportionate amounts of brown matrix carved by Sandra Quandelacy. Sandra presents two corn maidens on one side and a older women on the opposite side along with a younger unmarried women - designated by the hairdo - the Hopi squash blossom whirl. All four women have jet inlaid features and apple coral pendants - though one corn maiden has a turquoise pendant. There are lapis, coral, malachite and coral inlaid corn kernels on the nicely incised corn rows and jet pigment inlaid dragonflies and star bursts. Maidens symbolize the divine gift of the harvest, fertility, and life-giving abundance. They are highly revered fetishes representing the nurturing feminine energies, the creation of sustenance, and the connection to the earth's cycles. Artist: Sandra Quandelacy (signed) Size: 1-5/8 in. wide x 1/2 in. deep x 1-7/8 in. tall #65092
