A small turquoise mountain lion carved by the now deceased Bernard Homer Jr. with jet inlaid eyes. The tail wraps lyricaly over the body in the traditional Zuni style and there's a simple offering bundle tethered on top with sinew featuring an onyx arrowhead topped with one turquoise and one coral bead. Sadly Bernard died in 2015 - he was a nephew to Sarah Leekya. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve. Artist: Bernard Homer Jr, Deceased Size: 1/2 in. wide x 1-1/2 in. long x 1-1/2 in. tall #65025
